A Heartfelt Thank You to Brian Chandler – 13 Years of Dedication to Murdered Abroad

After 13 years of dedicated service as a Trustee and Treasurer of Murdered Abroad, Brian Chandler is stepping down from his role, and we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for everything he has contributed to the charity.

Throughout his time with Murdered Abroad, Brian has been a loyal and valued member of our charity family, generously giving his time, energy and expertise to support our work and, most importantly, the families we represent.

Alongside his responsibilities as Treasurer, Brian has played an important role in bringing our members together, particularly through his organisation of our much-valued members’ meetings in Gloucester. These gatherings are at the very heart of Murdered Abroad, providing families with the opportunity to share experiences, offer friendship, find understanding and support one another through circumstances that few others can truly comprehend.

The organisation of these meetings takes considerable time and effort, much of it behind the scenes, and Brian’s contribution has helped create opportunities for lasting friendships, mutual support and many treasured memories.

Being a trustee of a small charity is no small undertaking. It requires dedication, patience, compassion and a willingness to give freely of one’s time, often without recognition. For 13 years, Brian has done just that, helping Murdered Abroad continue its vital work supporting families affected by the murder of a loved one overseas.

But beyond the responsibilities of being a Trustee and Treasurer, it is the friendships, kindness and sense of belonging that make Murdered Abroad so special. Brian has been part of that family for many years, and his contribution extends far beyond the figures in our accounts or the meetings he has organised.

As Brian steps down, we hope he will look back on his 13 years with a real sense of pride, knowing that his commitment has made a meaningful difference to our charity and its members.

Brian, thank you for your friendship, your generosity, your dedication and, above all, for being such a valued part of the Murdered Abroad family.

You leave with our warmest wishes, our gratitude and many fond memories. You will always be part of the Murdered Abroad family.
