The Victims’ Commissioner’s Annual Report 2019-2020

Our work with the Victims’ Commissioner (VC) Dame Vera Baird QC is highlighted in her Annual Report 2019-2020.

In her introduction she writes: “My report shows much has been done, but there is much still to achieve. My ambition for victims is greater than ever. By listening to victims and striving to succeed, we can achieve.” Sentiments we wholeheartedly share.

The VC remains in correspondence with the FCDO, Police, NCA and Ministry of Justice about taking the recommendations forward she made in October 2019 about the entitlements of bereaved families who have lost a loved one to homicide abroad.

We are in regular communication with the VC and her team and continue to work closely together to improve the support that families receive.
